To solidly advance the deep integration of rule-of-law talent cultivation with grassroots rule-of-law development, the Hedong District Law Society and the College of Humanities and Law of Tianjin University of Science & Technology recently held a co-construction event.
Dean Wu Zhenjun in his address detailed the College's distinctive features and plans in program construction, talent cultivation and social services, and emphasized the College's differentiated development path grounded in the University's engineering background, particularly in high-value patent commercialization and foreign-related legal services. He pointed out that the College is actively advancing deep cooperation with practical departments, and through innovative measures such as establishing the Law School, focuses on cultivating interdisciplinary rule-of-law professionals who possess both theoretical grounding and practical competence, which closely matches the District Law Society's needs in grassroots rule-of-law development.
Executive Vice President Wen Peicai and Dean Wu Zhenjun signed the co-construction agreement on behalf of both sides, formally marking the start of cooperation. In his address, Vice President Wen highly commended the College's educational philosophy and achievements, and stated that the District Law Society would fully leverage its bridging role to provide more opportunities for College teachers and students to participate in grassroots rule-of-law practice.
The successful holding of this co-construction event not only built a broader practical training platform for law students of the University, but also injected fresh academic vitality into the Hedong District Law Society. Taking this cooperation as a starting point, both sides will continue to deepen coordinated interaction in academic research, talent cultivation and legal services, contributing wisdom and strength to the building of a rule-of-law Tianjin.
